If u had 25-30K what config would u buy?

I have allotted Rs.25-30K. I am going to upgrade the cabinet only. So i need the following within that limit. That limit is the highest and it will be good if it is less than that. It doesnt matter whether its Intel or AMD i just want the best..... Just tell me what u would buy within that range.

AMD 64X2 5600+ + Asus AMD 690G mobo = 12950 (R.R. systems)
1GB kingston 667MHz = Rs. 1740 (Cost to Cost Computer)
320GB seagate sata2 HDD = 3740 ( " )
XFX 8600GT = 8400 (SMC International) [The board has onboard gfx card]
500VA APC = 2125 ( " )
Cabinet = I dont know

^^ Everything except the RAM is good enough for average gaming.
I plan for 4GB RAM and 8800GTS 640MB(hope I get it) for good gaming experiance.

Well for me that is not at all enough.. with that cash i will end up with a Motherboard, Graphich Card, Rams, Monitor.... No Harddisk... keyboard...mouse...

My current System is already Worth 48,000 Rs. man...

UPS - Microtek 600va - 1800
Cabinet with SMPS - 1500 - 1700(any good one)

Total - 29250.(prices taken from theitwares.com)

instead get a XFX 8600GT for 8K. make sure ur HDD is 7200.10 ver.

r u sure its 5600+ ? bcoz on itwares it is for 10,200/- and ASUS mobo costs ~5100/-

^^ Yes, the guy confirmed it by calling someone. He noted the model number of proc. and mobo on a paper. I dont think there might be any glitch involved, but who knows??
Although I am suprised because SMC international quoted the prices of 5600+ and asus mobo as 9200 and 4400 respectively.
5000+ costs 7000 bucks at SMC.

@anindya: If you have a computer market nearby then you should go and confirm the prices yourself. Like in my case the AMD X2 5600+ costs around 9200 but on itwares the price is 10200. A huge difference of 1K.

yes, i think u shud confirm the prices from ur vendor or any market in ur city rather than on itwares.com or any other site unless u plan to get it ordered from the net..

@anindya... ur config is good.. but some suggestions..

why not go for an AMD pair, the money saved can be invested in 2GB RAM and XFX 8600GT.. if u want to stick to INTEL then P5N-E SLI is a better mobo..

Motherboard - no idea
RAM - 1GB
HDD - watever but insist on Seagate
Grafics card(if needed) - look at onboard option
UPS - APC shud be the best
Cabinet with smps - Zebronics anything cabby with Platinum 500W is a good budget option...working without any problems for more than 1 year...

Anindya yaar, How much is the need for the GRFX card for u ?? as if u dont need a card, config will change drastically

See, with AMD 690G or Nvidia 6150 or Intel GMA x3000 (G965) vista will run cool, and u will be able to play most of the games in Low settingss for sure... !!!

So, please state do u really need a Card ??

motherboard- go for ASUS P5N E Sli 7000Rs,

RAM- 1*2GB DDR2667Mhz (kingston) costs 3800Rs,

HDD 160*2 GB HDD seagate(RAID 0,1) 5000Rs,

cabinet with SMPS(peace with 500watt PSU)2800Rs,

XFX 8500GT 5500Rs,

UPS VIP around 2K.

Total:- 32.5K approx

mind u man this will be an awesome config for you,
(the 8500GT performance is between 7600Gs & GT)
