there is a single core as well as a dual core 3800+
there is no duel core...

single core will perform better most of the times now,

dual core 3800+ is basically 2 3200+ so in single threaded apps it will perform same as a 3200+,

But dual core will be centrestage shortly, so I'd get X2 3800+....
