Downlds works only on Firefox and not on IE, dont know why !!!

Is there any other software that shud be installed against future attacks?

now u have IE 5, uninstall it by using Add/Remove Programs.
Then install IE 6 SP1, this is given in every months ElectronicsForYou CD under Popular Repeats section, or else u can go for Online install from Microsoft Website.

then install these softwares:-

Just one note, to make sure you do not get the "Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot continue." error when trying to reinstall IE6, make sure you follow these steps:

Open regedit and navigate to the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{44BBA840-CC51-11CF-AAFA-00AA00B6015C}

and change the value data from 1 to 0, before attempting to reinstall IE6.

It doesnt remove IE thru Add remove prog.... Also I prefer using Firefox since its easy 2 navigate and its user friendly......

buddy u need to give these guys a little break and do a lil research on ur own
man they've been at it for 2 days helping u
hehe
well anyways... u wont be able to remove ie from the add/remove program list
lick on add/remove windows components and deselect ie from there and follow thru
then install the latest ie again
and if u get an error follow enoonmai's solution

anyways an alternate browser is a wise choice
but u still might need ie for some basic operations
