Hyperlink Problem with Internet Explorer

Right off the assembly line
I have the Internet Explorer 6 with even Service pack 1.

The Problem is that , Lately It takes a lot of time to open a page and more over unable to open any Hyperlinks in the page.

I even re-ran the Installation setup for IE6. But the same still persists.

But in the same PC I am able to open the pages in Mozilla Fire Fox.

Is there any way we can Uninstall IE. :?:
