HP Pavillion DV6-6121TX HDMI out to Externmal Monitor issue

Okay, so i recently bought the HP Pavillion DV6-6121TX Laptop.
Now I am facing a problem. I cannot connect my laptop via HDMI to the external monitor (Benq 24 inch Full HD). When i connect it to HDMI, the screen says no input signal and goes off. But when i connect via DVI, it works fine on my other HP monitor. I dont even have to do anything, it starts automatically.
So what am i doing wrong?
I tried using the shortcut key on the keyboard, and also via the Display option in Control Panel. But nothing seems to work.
Why is this issue happening only when i use HDMI?

You are missing some drivers AFAIK.

Okay guys it was a dumb question. Its solved. Had to select HDMI input on the monitor itself
