How to make Xbox an entertainment center?

more than software that completely depends on ur DVD drive you own. You need to see which drive it is (usally thompson phillips or Samsung) And unless u have the latest DVD drives as in the later XBOX it wont play DIVx and XVID's no matter which mod u use.

So..sans the DVD drive issue...is it possible to make XBOX play all these?
If somebody has done that,it will be helpful to post a step by step guide or something of that sorts.
