I Have reinstalled windows xp.And the grub found to missing.so give me the full command to install the grub again.(Fedora 4)

Also - remenber - u wont get the actual FC4 grub back though...
I think theres an option in the boot disk to repair Grub...

boot from the fc4 cd 1 and type linux rescue then it will lead you to a sh prompt.there type

chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hdx where x is your hadrdisk letter a,b,c,or d.

It says command not found.

chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda

one use first command it say command not found.
so plz post one more.

The rescue disk should automatically put you in as a root user, so there should be no need of su'ing to it. Its rather strange that chroot is not working, one thing to keep in mind is that the linux shell is case sensitive, so typing "CHROOT" instead of "chroot" will not work. Also, did the rescue disk show any errors while loading up?

Then If you have Fedora cds then try the upgrade option. or burn the cds again and try reinstalling grub.
