How To Install Windows Xp Visual Themes Downloaded From Net With Full Effects

I recently start downloading windows XP visual themes from net. The files downloaded were in .THEME format but the folder also consist of other files
ike some dll and icons.

When i tried installing the theme via windows XP default theme manager NO CHANGES WERE OBSERVED howver the website showed the screenshot with full glamour with suave task pane ,taskbar etc.

Is there any other way to install this theme or I have to make some additional changes and tweaks to install this theme properly.

Also the folder contain some extra files like windows visual style but windows is not accepting them.

Extract the .Theme control file into C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes

OR

Download Style XP [May or may not work}

This is happening bcoz of the Windows restriction!
By default windows XP doesnt allow 3rd party themes/visual styles to be used!

But u can patch uxtheme.dll file, so that u can use those themes

Download Neowind UXTheme Patcher and run it.

Vishal Gupta is right,download the neowind UX theme patcher and then restart the windows.after restart you can able to apply themes.

One more thing!

After applying this patch, copy the theme folder to %windir%\Resources\Themes, after this u can see the theme in Desktop Properties!

If u don't want to copy it, then run the .msstyles file under the downloaded theme folder
