How to burn CD ISO in DVD with additional data

I want to make to make few backups as well as burning few Linux ISO (for CD). Is there any way I can burn the CD ISO in DVD with additional data? If so how?
Keep note that I use Linux only so please don't suggest Windows only software.

Use any ISO software like PowerISO. Open the ISO and add files to that image.
