Is actually a real word..
when u right click on the folder and select properties the gerneral tab should show how much space is it taking up. select security tab. there you should see differnet users of the sys. does admin have full control? how many users are displayed there.

Go to Control Panel and open Folder Options. Under the "View" tab, disable simple file sharing (last option). Then you'll have a security tab available.

And, learn to use a search engine.

edit boot.ini

u can boot to ur previous windows

read carefully

1. right click my computer n go to properties
2. go to advanced->startup n recover settings
3.u will see an option to edit boot.ini file
4. select edit button

this is my boot.ini

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

in ur u will find partiion to be different
say if u installed in 2nd partition
it will be like

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

so u add another line

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

1 because it was in first partition b4

save the file n restart

u will se 2 options for windows n u can boot into ur previous one

Note u can chg the name that will be displayed

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

if u chg that name it will display ur new name in list

when i did this i used these names to differentiate

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Windows XP Professional old

Remeber this is not for the weak hearted guys who r scared to edit such files
if u r scared to do this
dont do it :D

to boot from the older os follow a_tif's solution except your partion maynot be 2 .try it and if you get an error go back and change partion to 3 and so forth until it finds the old os.
so it says access denied, well thats a good sign, you do have that security tab now correct? where it says grup or user names: you should see administrator, and you may also see system, owner, <your name>, everyone... highlight admin, clcik advance button select owner tab, in the list of different users select admin put checkmark in checkbox at bottom (replace owner on all subcontainers/objects) clcik apply, then ok, back to permissions screen admin should have full control, if not make sure admin does then apply. now go back and see if you can access that folder.

if nothing work, try connecting the drive as slave to another master drive and look for content in your hard drive...And I don't understand why it is showing no data...Is it showing 0kb when you look for the space the folder is taking by right clicking and properties? if it is showing in mb's or whatever you expected it to be, it may have become currupt..so try recovery softwares
