That is kbps not KBps. 1B(Byte)=8b(bits). :p
So the max average speed possible on a 256 kbps (BSNL) connection is 32 KBps not 256 KBps:D

So redoing your calculations:

32 KB * 60 * 60 * 24 = 2764800 KB = 2700 MB ~ 2.63 GB:D:D:D:D and not 24 GB!!:shock:

Anyway by stats are: [ in 6 hrs (home 500 plan) ]
download (average) - 3.2 GB :), maximum - 4.1 GB :D
upload (average) - 1.5 GB :), maximum - 2.3 GB:D
