B85 boards are generally of lower quality as they are the base line boards

never ever. The base line does not mean that it is of lower quality. the quality of b85 is comparable to h77 of previous gen which is in fact a very good quality mobo

. With an i5 and such powerful graphic card, an H87 board will better suite because of better build quality and use of higher quality components.

B85 will suffice for even high end cards. when multiple gpus are installed ,then the model of mobo matters. any how, if OP's budget permits to get an h87, then get it
Also, with an H87 board, you can perform partial overclocking of i5 by tweaking the turbo boost settings.

can you provide link please. I think even b85 can be used to do so. but eventually intel will block that. Asrock and asus has already done that.

Sorry, my bad. Intel locked the partial overclocking and is also locking (forcefully) non Z8x overclocking.

So i ordered the following parts from flipkart on saturday:

HAF 912 with window
i5-4570
G.Skill 2*4GB ram
Asus b85m-G
Seasonic s12ii 620W
Asus DVD-R

For a total of 40.5k RS

Now , what i have realised is that a dual monitor setup will be useless for me and I'll be distracted by the 2nd screen [Thus decreasing my productivity]

Therefore i have decided to stick with my old friend - 1440x900p 19inch monitor!

So now i have 2 doubts:

1. Which LED fans do i buy and how do i place them to get optimal airflow and lightning ?
2. Should i go for gtx660 or try and buy a 7870 from lamington for 17k rs or wait for the new mid range raedon cards which will release by end of december?

I want the card to max out all games for atleast 1.5-2 years [after which i will reduce quality]

i would say to wait. for fans, go for maximum CFM. some cooler master fans like extra flow(120mm) has 90 cfm.
