Dear all
I have installed MandrakeLinux 10 on my laptop. But the KDE Control centre (its KDE 3.2 and not 3.3 in Mandrake 10) does not allow to add any other language. I could however add the default keyboards for Devanagari and Arabic (that should serve for Urdu as well I think). But in OOo writer, despite enabling complex script support (Tool->Options->languages) it is unable to type Unicode Urdu or Hindi. The Kchar tool seems to show as if all the fonts available by default are Unicode and have all character sets. Are no fonts available for Hindi and Urdu? How can we install Unicode .ttf, and also where to add the keyboard. There is Phonetic Urdu keyboard available with us at urdu_computing Yahoo group. Where this file needs to be copied. Many questions at a stretch. But please help.
