High Performance Laptop for 80 - 90K

I want a nice, high performance laptop for 80 - 90 K. Good quality is a must.
I'll play games like GTA 4, CoD:4, CoD:5, Left 4 Dead, Crysis [hopefully :)], etc. on it.

I first thought about the Macbook and then Dell Studio XPS 13.
But then these two belong to the 13" category and are not performance oriented.

So, I'll settle for a 15.4" notebook, but it should also have nice enough battery life and not too heavy.

MSI GT627 seems like a really nice laptop. Its performance is extremely good, but i'm having doubts about its durability and the after-sales service of MSI.
It has the following specs :
* NVIDIA GeForce9800M GS, 1GB DDR3 VRAM PCI Express
* 320GB SATA
* DVD +/- RW Optical Drive
* LCD 15.4 WSXGA+/Glare 1680 x 1050
* Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz and 2.8 GHz
* 4 GB RAM - DDR2
* Windows Vista 64 bit

Second option is MSI GT725. But I think it will be too big for me and is most probably out of my budget.
The specs are :
* Intel Centrino 2 Processor P9500 2.53GHz
* 4 GB RAM
* Dvd Super Multi Drive
* ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4850 (Built-inDDR3 512MB)
* 320GB SATA (5400RPM) HDD
* 17" TFT-LCD Display

The third option is Dell Studio XPS 16 with the following config:
* Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache)
* 3GB (1x2GB/1x1GB) 1067MHz DDR3 SDRAM
* Slot Load 8X DVD + /-RW Drive with double layer write capability
* 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670
* 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
* 16 " 720p WXGA (1366x768) Anti-Glare WLED Display with 2.0MP webcam

I have emailed the Branch Manager of MSI regarding the price of the MSI GT627 and GT725 laptops.
the Dell will cost me Rs.87,188.36.

What I want to know is how these three will perform while playing the aforementioned games and what would be the battery life like?

Is there any other alternative laptop?

guys?

Just great. MSI Regional Manager told me that MSI GT627 will cost around 93000 + VAT and GT725 103000 + VAT.
This sucks. Cuz in US they retail for $1300 [65 K] and $1600 [80 K] respectively

Man , dont compare US market price

MSI GT 725 out of battery AFAIK , this one only stands for half an hour battery maximum

Go with the Centrino2 P8600 with 9600GT will give atleast 1 hour of battery back up

Only the falcon laptops provide u 2 hours of battery back on the powerful laptop , Ati mobilty radeon su(ks more power especially the 4850

better get the corei7 desktop powerful Killer gaming CPU

the powerfull laptops are available ,since the lower battery and bulk type will take some years to change

9 cell, i guess...
i'm not talking about the laptop...

i'm talking about customer support / service of MSI here in india.

Bond, Desi Bond!
other option would be macbook pro for 1L :)

comes with 9600GT

I would rather wait for someone travelling from USA and get the laptop from US if I have such a huge budget.

Sure is not possible for 9 cell battery to have such battery back up on the config like

P8600+9800GT 1 GB ddr3

if so the battery has that much back up , the LCD resolution is highly detained one ,,

Go with the desibond idea :

if u have some one in the US u can get from there , because all the taxes are reduced especially our indian dealer anonymous prices

or try to get from NEWEGG (or) TIGERDIRECT if possible !!:confused:

that's the things with this laptop...
it underclocks when on battery backup.

obviously performance is hampered but i wasn't planning on gaming while on battery anyway.
so, i get performance as well as battery backup.

and LCD resolution is not bad. it is 1680 x 1050.

wow , thats really amazing 2.5hrs battery backup on all this sure u worth ur buying

There's a rumor going around that Dell is going to update the GFX cards in its Studio/SXPS line of laptops to ATI HD4670

Anyway, i might be going to US after sometime, so I might just get the MSI GT627 from there cuz this is one 15.4" lappy which pwns all others!

Any idea about the MSI service in India?

i can't get the basic purpose for you buying a gaming laptop
max performance you will get is abt 2hrs or you have to charge while playin
+the exprience is also not that great

like how do you plan to use it??
like why cant you get a desktop
than will be alot cheaper + better.............
