Professional Layabout.
I want a nice, high performance laptop for 80 - 90 K. Good quality is a must.
I'll play games like GTA 4, CoD:4, CoD:5, Left 4 Dead, Crysis [hopefully
], etc. on it.
I first thought about the Macbook and then Dell Studio XPS 13.
But then these two belong to the 13" category and are not performance oriented.
So, I'll settle for a 15.4" notebook, but it should also have nice enough battery life and not too heavy.
MSI GT627 seems like a really nice laptop. Its performance is extremely good, but i'm having doubts about its durability and the after-sales service of MSI.
It has the following specs :
* NVIDIA GeForce9800M GS, 1GB DDR3 VRAM PCI Express
* 320GB SATA
* DVD +/- RW Optical Drive
* LCD 15.4 WSXGA+/Glare 1680 x 1050
* Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz and 2.8 GHz
* 4 GB RAM - DDR2
* Windows Vista 64 bit
Second option is MSI GT725. But I think it will be too big for me and is most probably out of my budget.
The specs are :
* Intel Centrino 2 Processor P9500 2.53GHz
* 4 GB RAM
* Dvd Super Multi Drive
* ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4850 (Built-inDDR3 512MB)
* 320GB SATA (5400RPM) HDD
* 17" TFT-LCD Display
The third option is Dell Studio XPS 16 with the following config:
* Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache)
* 3GB (1x2GB/1x1GB) 1067MHz DDR3 SDRAM
* Slot Load 8X DVD + /-RW Drive with double layer write capability
* 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670
* 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
* 16 " 720p WXGA (1366x768) Anti-Glare WLED Display with 2.0MP webcam
I have emailed the Branch Manager of MSI regarding the price of the MSI GT627 and GT725 laptops.
the Dell will cost me Rs.87,188.36.
What I want to know is how these three will perform while playing the aforementioned games and what would be the battery life like?
Is there any other alternative laptop?
guys?
