Heard of driver probs & all in Vista. But mine is different. Its a software problem with my hardware.
I've a HP Pav with Win Vista Ultimate installed. When I poked in my USB sticks, they were gladly detected & i was able to "explore" them. But, l8r when I tried the same on my assembled portable drive, it got detected (drivers installed auto by Vista... et al...).. but I was not able to "explore" it. Actually it wasn't even shown in "My Computer". I don't suppose there are unique Vista drivers for my portahardisk (coined by me.. copyrighted & licensed ) as it runs on ordinary usb drivers.
Help.
