Help required... Light weight Laptop

Right off the assembly line
This is going to be my first ever laptop & i hv no idea about all new things here in Laptop world..

This place is seriously buzzing n filled with rich information :clap2:


1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
- @40K

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Thin and Light - 13" screen

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Asus,Toshiba, Sony, Lenovo
b. Dislike: Apple(way too premium), Samsung (seems fragile, never heard abt them in laptop), Acer (built quality in laptops available in India seems plastiky)


4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
- carry around most of the time, presentations, watching movies, internet,
- software like Autocad, sometimes gaming


5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
- anything that is good

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
- purchase in Mumbai
- Matt finish, not glossy
- ASS should be fairly good
- strong built quality



i have found out a few, but not sure what is the latest configuration
- Asus U36JC
- Toshiba Portege: R830-I3310
-Sony Vaio T Series: SVT13113ENS
- Lenovo U310 is beyond 50K
- Dell 13Z is 1.8Kg but have heard Dell are not that reliable these days..

The best options are:
Samsung NP530U3B-A02IN
Sony VAIO T Series SVT13113EN
Local market is supposed to be cheaper after bargaining.
