when i have tryed to install grub by giving:

chroot /mnt/sysimage

grub-install/dev/hda

on using the first command no problem accuire's.But when i use

the second it say's "Not found or not a block device".help me to solve

the problem.

YOu need to leave a space between the words "grub-install" and "/dev/hda"

After giving space also it say's the same thing.

are you sure that your device is hda ? use the following command and post the output here

$fdisk -l
