Help me with this error

I was running an application(game actually) and all of a sudden the application closed when I clicked on a certain option in the game. The game is NFS most wanted.
The error is as follows. Could someone explain to me what happened?

My system configuration is,
INTEL PENTIUM 4 3.00GHz processor
1GB DDR2 RAM
80GB HARD DISK
INTEL 945G EXPRESS CHIPSET MOTHERBOARD
ONBOARD INTEL GMA 950 GRAPHICS CHIPSET WITH 128MB VIDEO MEMORY.

post you're system config., then only someone can give reason.

is this the first time you are playing NFS MW on your PC?

Update your game/gfx. drivers to latest versions.

if your game is pirated::: the pirated game crashes randomly.

My system config is
P4 3.00GHz
1GB DDR2 RAM
Intel 945 express chipset motherboard with onboard Intel GMA 950 Graphics 128mb video memory card.
80GB Hard Drive.


Before this I had played the demo version of the game on my system and it ran fine.

This same version of the game ran fine on my friends comp too he has a
Pentium D 2.8GHz, 512mb ram, 256mb ATI graphics onboard, Intel 101GCL motherboard, 160GB HDD.
It also ran fine on my cousin's laptop which has 1.87Ghz centrino duo, 1GB ram, 512MB Ati Radeon X1300, 80gb HDD.

The game is an original copy bought by my friend which he gave me for a couple of days to try out.
What could be the problem?

well then run the "Easy Info" from the Game menu (in start menu), "Easy Info" is like "DxDiag Test", it'll test whether your system meets the Game's requirements.
in your case, the Onboard Gfx..

Check how much Virtual Memory you have.(game needs min. of 100MB), then Disable all the Application before playing, i.e. turn Off your AntiVirus, AntiSpyware....

& update ,if not done yet ,your game to v1.3.

But still i dont get it, i've Installed this game (original) in about 5 PC's with similar config. (945 M/B), never experienced such things.

Are you sure you keep the disk in the Drive??? or are you using any NO-CD Patch, [To Preserve Your ORIGINAL Disk].

when does the game crashes??
->when you select any Gfx. Settings.?
->when you go for challenge series game?
==>> if you dont hear the theme music in "Click to Enter" screen, then restart your game.

Actually I am using a no-cd patch but even with this patch it ran fine on my friends and cousins comps.

you see thats the problem here , try playing with the CD in the tray.

just as a precaution download CCleaner & run a registry scan., My Original Most Wanted game used to crash whenever i select for Free Roam (from Safe house).
I e-mailed my query to EA, they gave lots of solution, (re-installed 2 times, ran Virus/AdWare Scan...), but only the last solution worked. that is Running a "Registry Scan", which obviously solved my problem.
