Hii!
I was planning to upgrade my 19" CRT to an LCD [about time anyway..]
So my budget was around 9k.
I had zeroed in on Dell ST2210[~9.5k] or AOC 2236vw[~7.7k]
Now i would take the AOC monitor, but i have doubts about the quality of service that AOC could give me?
I live in Mumbai, could anyone plz tell me whether they have faced any issues with their AOC models, and the service quality.
Thanks a lot,
Arka Sekhar Sarkar.

hi :) .. I myself have been using a LG 19" tft since around 3 years and am very satisfied with it in terms of picture quality, got it because at that time i couldn't find any other monitor with a dvi input, as for your requirement i'd recommend dell, a bit costly but has an ips panel(if i'm not mistaken) which allows for better performance, also do you mean the Dell SX2210?...cuz i couldn't find a 'ST'2210 ..:?

PS- I am also looking for a monitor for my 360, basically for gaming, guess i'll start a thread for some feedback too ;-)

i was speaking of dell ST2210 in this link:
*www1.ap.dell.com/in/en/home/22lcd/...?refid=monitor-dell-st2210wfp&s=dhs&cs=indhs1
and its a TN panel not IPS

and also the AOC one is:
its as good as the dell one..

BUT i was worried about service in mumbai??

As far as I know, AOC is an established company and it's service is pleasing but yes the fact that Dell's service is better still remains unchanged. Performance wise, I would say the Dell panel is better. Try and get a full HD LCD.

I can tell from my exp. that Dell offers the best after sales service I have seen, the guys even travel to remote areas away from city to provide repairs & in some cases replacements too, rest is your choice :)
