Help - Kaspersky - Urgent !!! BATTY

I downloaded Kaspersky (Latest Version) Personal Antivirus.

It worked properly for a day or two ...

Then suddenly ... every minute or two or wen i open My Computer or any other Windows Explorer ... it says

*img71.exs.cx/img71/7652/error_8.jpg

and sorry for the image link as im trying it for the first time

Im using Windows XP SP1
Mozilla Firefox 1.0 PR (as this error eats my head wen i try to open IE 6)


I downloaded Kaspersky based on the findings of the forum and BATTY ...

so evryone here ... plz help me out !!!

The file relates to missing Script Blocking service of Norton Antivirus ... Uninstalll NAV completely to get rid of the error ...

Norton Antivirus 2003 is fully uninstalled !!!

My Yahoo! Messenger 6.0 is also giving me problems !!!

cant see watevr i type or watevr others reply !!!

tried downloadin it all over again !!!

But the main thing is this error occcuring without Norton Antivirus !!!

help !!

Problem not solved yet .... same error !!!

Any detection methods (HijackThis) etc .... using real time protection of Kaspersky personal ...

did watever was needed by Norton !! Download their

RNav2003.exe

file and executed tat also !!!

What to do ????

dont wanna resort to my last option .. :roll:
call my engineer and he will just Format my C drive ... so help out asap !!!

Ok Here is the solution to your problem.

[Edit] Ok .. I think the solution posted there is too much confusing .. I m uploading the registry patch to fix the problem ....

[Edit]Ok download the fix from Here ... Extract the file and double click on the Reg file to merge it to your registry ...

you didn't follow the first link. isn't it?
look man the problem is that when you install Norton, it takes over java script handling and blocks the scripts that might cause harm to your PC thus it takes over jscript.dll with a proprietary file namely scrauth.dll
now you have uninstalled Norton and scrauth.dll is gone but since the java script handling is still allocated to scrauth.dll, kaspersky shows you error about the same. what you need to do is give the control to kaspersky and restore that registry value. for doing that you need to follow the first link...now if you are not good with registry editing then i would recommend asking one of your tech savvy friends to do it. else...a format will be in order.

gave a too confused method ... yet i went thru it and found the necessary changes to be made to the regedit .... but it aint working yet ...

i am a bit familiar to Regedit in Windows ... so i tried it ...
and now the second link doesnt work so its not my falut ...
