Help deciding components for a gaming system

Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming, mostly first person shooter, Crysis, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Far Cry. Want to run Crysis 3 runs in max settings when it is released.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 90K to 1L (max)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Moderately or none at all.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 ultimate

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Will need to buy 22" 1920x1080 monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Have no components presently.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In a week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Will be done by an assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: In Hyderabad, buying locally. Trying to avoid buying online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Want to make sure it is future proof for 2-3 years.

I have made a list (prices are as stated by the vendor here):
Processor: i7-3770 (18.3K)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 (11K)
RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengence 1600MHz (7.6K)
GPU: Zotac Nvidia GTX 670 2GB (28.3K)
Hard disk: 1TB WD 7200rpm (4.4K)
Cabinet: Cooler Master HAF 912 Advanced/Corsair 500R (7.5K)
Heat sink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (2K)
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750HXUK 750 Watts (5K)
Monitor: Dell 22" 1920x1080 4ms response time (10K)
Total: 94.1K

I wanted info particularly about the motherboard (was thinking of Asus P8Z77-V) and cabinet. Any other info or comment is welcome.

Hi... follow this thread and see if you like that config...

BTW..
1. No need for i7 processors for Gaming. Waste of money. Go for i5 3570K. Go for "K" series as sonner or letter though you'll start overclocking a bit. :)
2. Extreme 6 a gr8 buy at 11K but ASRock mobos have some problems with their power design and build quality.... if you can extend the budget go for ASUS/MSI mobo. Asus P8Z77-V is gr8
choice if you insist on ATX form factor. But if your main purpse is gaming.... then get Maximus V Gene.
3. You wont be able to fit Vengence memory modules in the first DIMM slot of your mobo if you are having Hyper 212 Evo. This will restrict your choices when you go for addition
2 x4GB modules in future. So opt for normal profile/low profile RAMs like G.Skill / Corsair XMS.
4. Add an SSD of 60GB at least to have OS installed on it.... investing 1lacs in rig warrants use of SSD :)

Rest following components you have decided are very good
1. GPU (you can also think about Sapphire HD7950 OC edition available at 25K at flipkart right now which will outperform GTX670)
2. HDD
3. Cabinet - Go for 500R
4. CPU Cooler - Buy an additonal CM Xtraflow fan for Rs.400 to configure Hyper 212 Evo in Push-Pull config.
5. PSU - Corsair is always best.
6. Monitor - Good choice

Go through the thread I pointed out above.... I think the requirement is same so that rig is perfect for you as well.

Thanks.

I was thinking of buying another GTX670 later and run in SLI.
Will the i5-3570K not bottleneck the GPUs?

I really like the rugged gaming look of the HAF 912. What I want to basically ask is if there is something terribly wrong with the HAF?

Asus P8Z77 is good, so will go with it.

Nothing wrong with HAF 912... good cabinet. If you like the looks..go for it.

i5-3570K wont bottleneck anything for next 4 years :)

GTX670 is also a gr8 card but 7950 is right now at 25k.... when you'l think about purchasing another 7950 for crossfire you'll get another one for still more less :). So in all when you'll do crossfire of 7950 (25k right now + 22k in future = 47k), you'll be saving close to atleast 8k copmpared to 670 AMP SLI build(29k right now + 26k in future = 55K.) And you can overclock 7950 as anything especially with the cooling design this Sapphire one has. The fan/heatsink designs on Sapphire are a lot better than that on a Zotac card.
GTX670/660Ti are better at games like BF3 since the code inside such games fvour nvidia architecture but then 7950 is better at games like SleepingDogs which favour GCN architecture :) Ultimately once you go beyond 60 fps it does not matter how much more FPS is your GFX is giving you. It only affects benchmarks. Decide what exactly you want ?
1. Benchmarking performance along with g8 gaming? then go for GTX670 AMP
2. Getting a fraction of less marks in benchmarks doesn't bother you and you need Gr8 gaming at comparatively less cost than GTX670 ? go for HD7950.

Whichever card you chose... you wont go wrong with anyone one of them.. both are fantastic.

Asus P8Z77 range is right now the best in the Z77 league, there is virtually no competiton to it.
