Hi,

I m here with another prob :)

After i removed virus, i m getting only the wallpaper in desktop and nothing else.

I mean no start menu, no desktop icons no right click & left click. But only my desktop wallpaper is there shown.

I m able to run task manager through Ctrl+Alt+Del.

And I have run sfc /scannow, it asks me for my Win XP SP2 CD. It says some files r need to be copied to dllcache, when i inserted Win XP SP2 CD, then also it is not taking these files. I m inserting the right CD, then also nothing happens when i click on retry.

SO, wat to do?? Pls help.

Its possible that the virus had infected(or deleted) explorer.exe and your antivirus either quarantined or deleted the file. If you are sure the virus has been completely cleaned out then you can try booting your comp into dos and copying a clean copy of explorer.exe into your %systemroot% folder. By default it is C:\Windows\

The problem's solved.

I copy & pasted explorer.exe from another system to my C:\Windows.

The virus deleted this file.

Thanx for all ur replies.
