Hard drive kaput; options?

My Seagate 1TB 3.5" hard drive, which I had been using as an external drive via an enclosure, seems to be dead. It simply doesn't power on, so I'm hoping the platters are fine, only the motor is the problem. Another hard drive connected to the same enclosure works fine, so that is not the problem.

The HDD is still under warranty (till June 2013), and I checked Seagate's site, but they don't do data recovery as part of it. So I can either get a new one (which I don't want, seeing the hassles), or I must pay to get my data back...

Most of the stuff in it is expendable, but it also contains photos, home videos, etc. which I'd like to get back. Can you please suggest some data recovery services? Which don't require me to sell a kidney?

On a somewhat related note, please suggest a few online file storage services for situations like these. I already use Dropbox, but their 2GB limit is not meant for backup. The only other site I can think of is Mega.

you can try steller phoenix data recovery for estimate.as for backing up personal stuff file sharing sites or only online backups is never a good idea.use dedicated sites like dropbox & hdd.if space is problem buy premium as spending ~150-200/month is not much a big deal for this type of service.you can check out crashplan tariffs too:
