Half Life 2 EP1 works on directX 7 card?!?!?

i have seen this on a site while i was searching the requirements for EP1. Is that true? my pc config is
intel P4 1.8GHz
Nvidia GeForce4 MX 4000
512 MB RAM

hell yeah....

HL2 even worked on my (ancient) RIVA TNT2 with 5-15 fps
u only need >128MB system RAM

but it didnt work on my Intel Extreme Graphics 2 in D865 GBF mobo which was Dx 7 i think but i know integ graphics and especially the ones from intel are total crap.
