GTX 970 replacement

Hi, forum members,
Today, my gtx 970 after serving for nearly 5 years, is finally dead. So, help me out with this queries.
1. Is it a good time to buy a new GPU, considering the inflation?
2. Which new card to replace? Same 970 or different one?
I bought this 970 at ₹27000, five years back. I would like the new card to be of this price range and performance-wise, not less than it.
Thanks

Yes, it's zotac. I thought 3 years warranty, 2 years plus 1 year extended after registration. Am I wrong?
2016, I had already claimed warranty.

ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4 GB
GDDR5 Graphics Card.
Ok, then, I will contact zotac for warranty.
I bought on January 2015, died September 2016, claimed warranty, now today again, halfway through facing John Seed, far cry 5.

Well, this new card has gone kaput again. Gpu fan spins on and off, no display. But mobo display is fine. It's really bad luck. Wondering should I claim again (as a shameless parasitic sucker)!

If you had paid for card initially and stole it off some homeless guy, you are very much entitled to claim for warranty through the warranty period offered by the company. It is not your fault that the hardware has failed.

This can be more than just luck. Zotac cards (or any graphics card from known brand) generally doesn't get faulty this easily or early. I think you should do some testing for the sake of your future card, just to be on safe side.
If possible, try testing this card in other system, and also check if your PSU is not the culprit here.

Which psu are you using currently? Does your 970 require 1 or 2 power connectors?
Try monitoring the voltage output of your psu using any tool like hwinfo while performing gpu intensive tasks like gaming-if the output on any rail goes above or below specs then the psu could be the culprit here.
