GT or NON-GT 6600

Hey guys i want to upgrade my geforce mx 4000 128 mb agp to newer agp card. But i m confused between Nvidia 6600 GT and Non-GT what are the differences and what about the cost, can any one tell me. Are these cards 8x will perform good on my 4x mobo. I m using 2.4 ghz 512 mb ram, HIS VIA mobo 80 GB HDD do i require to purchase new SMPS. HELP ME.

the only difference between these cards is the GPU & Memory clock speed, but the problem is that finding a 6600 non ultra AGP version, u better go for a XFX 6600GT with 128 MB RAM

yups go for 6600GT Leadtek or XFX it shud come around 9-10k,and 6600nu around 6-6.5k.

Hey Joy,

You have/ rather had the same situation as mine leaving the motherboard was intel 865GBF and now got the XFX 6600GT 128 mb DDR3 for 9550 and a 500 watts smps powersafe for 2600, you can even get a powersafe 450 watts for 2300 and 400 for 1450. So you have teh price list here, GO GET IT MAN!! .

It only depends on your budget.
The Leadtek 6600 Non GT 256 MB costs Rs 5600/- & the 6600GT 256 MB costs 9000/-.
If you have the budget got for the GT.

I think you paid more for the card.
The Leadtek 256MB 6600GT costs Rs. 9000 here in Hyderabad.

The Leadtek non GT 256 MB costs Rs. 5600
