HD 4670 can run on normal PSUs and is fine for ur system. Get the 4670 512MB for 4.4k.

u cant fully utilize an hd 4770 or 9600GT with your 2 yr old proccy. And u ll ned a PSU upgrade too.

4670 and 9600GT are somewhat equal. HD 4770@ 6.7k is far supperior.
9600GT and 4770 will need a min of gud 450W PSU.

512 MB is more than enough for a 4670. and in worst case 1Gb models rund slower than 512MB for low~mid range GPUs.
Get palit 4670 for 4.4k. Its a good one. Besides sapphire one is also gud but lil more expensive.

and ur older integrated gfx will no longer be in use after attaching a card.
4670 is around 20 times faster than X200 IGP.

normal PSus has single rail. So its single rail 18A or 19A wont be enuf to power the mobo and the gcard thru the slot itself.
and 4770 needs external power connector so a better PSU is always recommended.

thanks buddy........

i have read reviews on net which says palit hd 4670 is not a good choice but sapphire has good build quality ,,,...
also if few hundreds more could give 1 gb sapphire hd then why not it be considered:?:
(it must me future proof........what u say)
(as games are becoming more n' more demanding ) e.g ...COD5 also demands 512 mb....

1GB enud wont decide if it meets the VRAm specification of spacific game. The GPOU shud also be able to perform with it. If u have video editing or other stuffs, then defenitely 1Gb wud be better. For gaming, avg size fast memory is far better that larger and slower memory.
and if u can shell out for a sapphire HD 4670 1GB, then why not get the HD 4770 512 DDR5 itself @ 6.5k.
its an hell of a card and almost 2x better than 4670.

with its 40nm fab,ddr5, other stuffs and gr8 performance its many times more future proof than 4670.
