GPU buying query.

My PC has following specs:
Ryzen 5 3500
8GB x 2 Corsair Vengeance
MSI A320 M PRO mobo
Antec NeoEco 550M 80 Plus Bronze Certified 550 Watt Modular SMPS
WD blue 500GB NVME M.2 drive (boot drive)
WD blue 2TB SSD sata drive
LG Ultragear 34" 1440p monitor
GPU is GT610 2GB (temp) since my primary MSI RX 570 ARMOR 8GB died on me around 6 months ago.

Everyone knows about the GPU market then so bought the gt610 as just display solution, so as to keep the machine running. Now the things a improving a little so thought of going for a new gpu.

My budget is around 35k so any suggestions would be appreciated. Should I wait for the Intel Arc to launch and assess the market then and buy or is there any good offerings now. Looked through Amazon, Prime abgb, m d computers etc. Haven't been into gaming for quite some time so would like to get back into gaming stuff again.

Or do you think Xbox or PlayStation would be enough for gaming needs. But I do like mouse and keyboard feel while gaming.

I do have another pc for my work so this will be pure for gaming. Don't require ultra settings while gaming but good smooth experience with high settings will do.

for 35k you can only get rtx 3050 which offers gtx 1070 level performance.

You will be better off buying a rx 6600 for 43k if you can stretch your budget slightly more.

But do you think it's worth waiting a bit more, since the launch of Intel Arc should give my more options and also more compitition should push the prices further down.

IMO OP should get RTX 3060 whenever its around 35k again. Your CPU won't be able to fully utilize the power of 3060 though, basically there's a CPU bottleneck. Not much you can without spending a lot, just that the fps numbers you get vs what most reviewers get with 3060 will be different by 10-20% at max at 2K.

This is 2080S & at 1080p, so in a game like CP2077, fps difference won't be as huge as shown. Just letting you know for your knowledge.

Valuable info......yes I know about the bottle but that's not much of an issue for me. No intention to upgrade the CPU right now. But RTX 3060 seems good enough for me.

Any thoughts about RX 6600 XT if it's available within 35-40k.

Right now on MD Computer it's 49,599 and for Zotac RTX 3060 for 45,999.

6600XT is slightly faster than 3060 & has been cheaper than 3060 for a few months until last week. If you can get it at 35k, go ahead.

So, to modify my previous statement, get 6600XT or 3060, whichever you see at 35k.

What ? I am having Ryzen 2600 but thinking to buy RTX 3060 when prices dips to 30k . But , as you mentioned , Ryzen 2600 will bottleneck RTX 3060 ?

At 1080p, yes there will be a CPU bottleneck. See how big of a bottleneck it is compared to the numbers shown on reviews. If it is not more than 10-20%, it is fine. I know in my rig if I swap CPU to say an i7 12700, I'll get better fps, maybe 5-10%. But I decided to save money.
