You heard wrong then.Intel is better.IMO,AMD is just making much money because of ATi GPUs.....Intel is the best if you want for gaming[for other purposes too-intensive i mean].....
Err...
Can you please explain how is Intel better in general/overall, irrespective of the price range of the product we may be able to buy?
a 22-24 fps difference mattering to me?? heall YES !!! :D:D then ofcourse, i wud be a fool, if i said i disagree with tat statement of urs.. :)
If i got you right, you think i said 22-24fps difference?
What i wanted to say is taking your initial example into consideration, if one setup achieves 22-24fps and the other that claims it's faster manages 30-32fps, in Crysis, would it still matter to us?
No! :) u CANNOT SLi one basic card with a OverClocked (OC'D in short) card, a

but

YES !! u can infact SLi one card of say ABC brand with another say, XYZ brand if they both hv the same config, like say both are OC'd or both are basic cards.. :) b
Dear ashu Sir,
a I think we can SLi 2 similar cards with different clock speeds but the cards will run at the speeds of the slower card.

b This case is a bit tricky now i feel.
Reference design cards from different manufacturers may not have issues mostly but with many brands having their own custom design now even for the PCB layout and circuitry, we cannot guarantee stability unless tried.

All said, SLI is still something i would suggest only to someone who can handle computer issues on their own or has someone to properly troubleshoot their computer.
Else most regular users are better of with a single powerful card than SLi imho. :)

Thanx Ashu !!

But as I said, what is better GTX 460*2 or HD 5850*2 ???

Which company to buy ???

well, gtx460's are found to run a bit noisy wen playing at full reso, coz of the heat sink fans run at full speed... :)

as for the coimpany, (i personally, hv an eVGA GTX280 SSC (SSC=super super clocked) Edition) 1GB)

so, for me eVGA works gr8... :)

but go for POV brand.. :)

Err...

well, as the human eye can see jus 30fps to be able to distinguish a video or a game as fluent and smooth, then yes, its always recommended to play a game (or watch a video), which can giv us a minimum 30fps... :)

tats exactly wat i said (but in short) tat ppl who DO NOT knw abt tweaking and/or handling PC issues all by them selves shud jus stick to a single card, or if they wanna CFX or SLi, then buy 2 cards of the same make (and manufacturer) to be safe and sound.. :)

Sorry for writing OVERALL....just PERFORMANCE not price. In budget specific thingies,AMD is better.

FOr me AMD = :p:rofl:

For a budget of 9k AMD is the best. You get an athlon ii x4 (quad core) at the price of core i3 530 (dual hyperthreaded core), its no brainer. There's no point going for dual cores these days. The gaming performance might a few fps lower but we don't care about numbers, we care about playability and future proofness.

I also agree with the same.

Performance and Price...both things go hand in hand. You pay a price for the performance.
