go for p4 3+ ghz or pentium d dual core

i am a gamer. should i go for p4 3+ghz or Pentium d.
What is the advantage of pd and min cost.

Go for PD as it is 64 bit and dual core plus it will be good for gaming.I bought Pentium D 3.0 ghz three weeks ago for Rs 9600 so u can guess it will be less than that.

Pentium D will give you better gaming performance compared to P4 3+ GHZ.
Intel's 'Core 2 Duo' is the best one for gaming , available right now.

Dual core. Although the clock speed of each core may not be 3ghz but keep in mind they are TWO of them.
Simply put:
one fast workman can finish one work in one day. but two relatively slower workmen can finish the same work faster, working together.
