Gionee Elife E7 with Snapdragon 800 launched in India for Rs 26,999

China based mobile device maker Gionee, has launched its new flagship Smartphone, the ELife E7 in the Indian market for Rs 26,999 (16GB version). The 32GB variant has been launched for Rs 29,999.

The Gionee Elife E7 is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GP. The phone features a 5.5-inch Full-HD (JDI) display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 401ppi. It features Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Elife E7's touch screen is responsible to gloves, wet hands, and keys, according to the company. The phone measures 150.6 x 75.0 x 9.7mm.

The phone sports a 16MP rear camera with 1.34m pixel size, which as per the company takes good quality low-light shots. It also features an 8MP front facing camera. According to Gionee, the camera lens was developed and customized based on Largan M8 lens solution.

It comes in 16GB and 32GB storage variants and packs in a 2500mAh battery. The Gionee Elife E7 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with its own Amigo 2.0 UI layer running on top. The phone sports three microphones for enhance noise cancellation.

The Gionee Elife E7 also features 'double tap to wake up' and voice control features. The phone will be available in black, white, blue, pink, green, yellow, and orange colour options.

Gionee has also announced the Elife E7 mini for Rs 18,999. The E7 mini is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek's 'true' Octa-core processor. The Elife E7 mini features a 4.7-inch 720p display. It is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP camera swivel design camera so it can be used both as a rear or front camera.

It comes with 16GB of internal storage, and a 2100mAh non-removable battery. In terms of connectivity options, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. The phone also runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee's Amigo UI layer running on top.

You forgot to mention that the 16GB comes with 2GB RAM while the 32GB one comes with 3GB RAM.

Also looks like a great phone for the specs and the price but being a chinese brand it will have a hard time competing againsts the likes of N5,G2,Z1 etc

The question that comes in context with such expensive device is its after sales. 30k for a non established brand here is kind of difficult to buy.
The phone no doubt is innovative.

Gionee has done something that could prove fatal to local companies like MMX, Karbonn etc..

Snapdragon 800 is very expensive SOC, I wonder how much their profit margin is..

yep, i agree that. the chipset is very powerful. what i intended to say is that these chinese companies will start shipping 25k+ phones with a lower end/underpowered chipset. it is what going to happen likely.
