[Complaint] Gigabyte GFX RMA: I feel cheated!

Talk to the hand!!!
I recently faced issues with Audio on my HDMI port of Gigabyte GV-R777OC-1GD graphics card so I returned it and got a replacement 15 days later. The model I had was GV-R777OC-1GD Rev 1.0 with a core clock of 1100 Mhz and Mem clock of 5000Mhz.

However I received the Rev 2.0 of the same card which is underclocked at 1050 Mhz Core and 4500 Mhz overall memory clock. This shouldn't really be a concern since with the weak AMD 7770 GPU, there should theoretically negligible performance difference (which can be easily overcome by overclocking.)

But I am getting a significant performance loss in almost all games(worst affected being Tomb raider, Far Cry 3 and NFS Most Wanted)

Also when I try to overclock, the graphics driver keeps on crashing on most GPU intensive games. On my previous card I could easily overclock core to 1200Mhz and memory to 5100Mhz without any hiccups.

When I contacted their service center, they said that Rev 1.0 is not available anymore and I will only get the Rev 2.0 model.

This is such a waste! A good GPU is ruined by the manufacturer! :-x I am not recommending Gigabyte Graphics cards to anyone anymore!

so now the service centers has started proving support for graphics cards .. can you tell me the location and name of the SC.

BTW, OCing is always a hit and miss chance so you really can't really all of the cards to OC to the same extent and there's no gurantee/warranty on how much a card will OC .. see if you can convince them to get a better gpu model.

Even I had ordered the Rev 1.0 card from flipkart months ago, but had to return as flipkart had given the Rev 2.0 card.
I even thought that there would be almost negligible performance drop but now I think, I made a wise decision.

And yes, give some details about the service center.

Service center does not provide the support. We have to go through retail vendor.

I had got mine through prime abgb. But even they couldn't do anything about it since it is no longer in stock.

I know but this one cannot even go above 5Mhz and 7770 GPU is known to OC really well. I tried hard to convince both prime and the service center from where the card came but Rev 1.0 is simply isn't stock. :-(
