1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans:For gaming. I will play almost anything on which I can get my hands on

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:60k, not much chance to extend, maybe 1-2k's if its worth it

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Win 8 or 8.1

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: New monitor needed, about 21 inches, 1080p

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Please advise me:should I buy within the next 2months or is the gtx 1000 series worth waiting for

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: There is always a first time right? Can't I assemble it myself?

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi, yes ofcourse

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I am a little biased for Intel CPUs and the asus strix gtx 960 looks like a great card, could it be squeezed in? I read the recommended config for 2015q2 but I also need a ups and some budget 2.1 speakers. Here's the recommended config from the sticky thread, though the prices are a little inflated, I can get them cheaper in local markets:

Thanks Sunil, may I inquire about the assembly? Should I attempt assembly myself or hand it over to a technician? Also getting seriously over budget here, what can be done in 60k? Will i have to let the gtx 960 go? And what about the gtx 1000 series, should I not wait for it?

kamehameha!!
Nobody knows anything about GTX 1000 series or if that would be the naming scheme.
Don't get below GTX 960 in this budget.

If possible, drop the DVD drive and UPS (or maybe not) for now.
