Hello all I am planning to buy a new PC. Please help me out!
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Dota 2, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, AC4, Crysis 3, Dead Space 3 in high settings
(and upcoming FPS/RPG/Action Games)
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 40K (± ~5K ) (GPU not included)
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No plans now ( maybe later in future, so I would like to keep the option open if possible, not necessary at all)
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7/8 x64
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 320/500GB is enough. I have External HDs
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. Full HD. 19-22" is preferrred.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Keyboard,Mouse,Speakers, Optical Drive
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: April first week
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will assemble it with the help of my friend
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in Pune. I don't know if are any good shops here (please suggest), if I find such - then locally, otherwise through online stores
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I'll buy the GPU in May/July as I am short on cash. Have plans to buy a R9 290 or equivalent. I don't plan to play new games right now as I am a little occupied for the next few months. But I play Dota 2 quite regularly, so with this rig if I can play it for now that would be a huge plus
I need a PC for my work (coding), so no! I can't postpone buying the whole rig to July!
P.S. I want by rig to be future-proof as much as possible
