Gaming rig for Rs. 30K

Hey guys, I'm planning to built a gaming rig for my friend. Budget is Rs. 30K, but it can be increased by Rs. 5K. It will be used for general purposes like viewing HD movies, photoshop, browsing the net, etc. My main priority is gaming as I want it to run Crysis, Batman Arkham City, DIABLO III smoothly. Also, this rig is mainly built to play DIABLO III at max settings. I would like to display to be either 17" or 19" from DELL, BenQ or Viewsonic. OS used will be Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Storage space of 1TB-2TB. I won't be overclocking it but it should be future proof.

Other thing are fine ^^^^

Core i3 and H61 combo comes for 8500 on an avg at lamington rd :p

Hey, thank you for the quick reply man. But, could you suggest different components for the same budget like an
Intel processor [i3 or i5]
Mobo - Asus or Gigabyte for the intel processor
GPU - Preferably a Sapphire one or MSI
HDD - Seagate 2TB
PSU - FSP products are not available here. Could you suggest Cooler Master or Corsair products or any other you prefer.
Monitor - Either Dell, BenQ or view sonic
UPS - not needed.

if u extend ur budget a bit then u can go for 6870 whihc has a price tag of 11k to 11.5khere have a look

Hi Tarun, I would like you to suggest motherboards other than Intel. And the processor to be an i3 and an i5.

If you want Intel CPU then Core i3 2100 @ 5.5K is the best choice. For motherboard, get the Intel DH67BL-B3 version @ 5K. This board's build wuality is as good as in Gigabyte and Asus mobo.

a core i5 wont get in ur budget :(
and an MSI R6870 Hawk is for 11.5k but has the ultimate Twin Fzor II cooling

Ok now I've finalized the processor being Intel i3 2100 and the mobo Intel DH67BL-B3 version. Coming to the display, is the Acer P206HV 20" any good than the DELL, BenQ or ViewSonic brands. I would still prefer the display to be either 17" or 19".

Ok, now suppose I go for Intel Core i5 with no overclocking, no Crossfire/SLI setup and increase the budget to max Rs. 40K, what processor and mobo would you recommend. And I'll take the BenQ G2220HD monitor. Also, would it be possible to get a Full HD monitor that has in-built speakers and HDMI port for the new budget.

core i5 2400 and a H67 based motherboard a core i5 2400 costs around 9k and a intel DH67BL will cost 5K so the total goes around 40.3k

A: Gaming, Gaming,Lots of Hi-Def Gaming, Movies, Editing

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A:yep

3. What is your MAX budget?
A:25-28k max, actually gonna after diwali but wanna plan n fix my rig

4. Planning to overclock?
A: mayb ;) :)

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A:Windows 7 hands down

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A:Got 660(500+160GB), will use the same in new rig

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: Currently got a CRT with 1024*768, will like 1366*768 to max 1920*1080(Full HD ;D)

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A:5

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Made twice, once with help of assembler second time for friend

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: During or After Diwali

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: Yep, yes indeed (Atleast The Mobo, Proccsy and PSU)

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: HDDs, Input Devices,Graphic Card(Mobo shud have onboard graphics)

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A:Live in Mumbai, why to buy frm shops from other states when I can buy it straight from Lamington Road :D

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: I know Under 28k gettin a Z68 and a suitable proccsy, I'm demanding way too much but try adjusting things but Hey, I wanna be future proof

Intel i5 2500k @10.8k
Asus P8P67-M @8.1k
XFX PRO550W @3.8k
Asus DVD @1.1k
NZXT Gamma @2k
Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz (9-9-9-24) 2x2GB @ 2.25k

The Z68 would be too expensive, P67 would do just fine and costs less. That's about it. Btw you would need to spend more on a decent LCD and graphics card, I don't see much of HD gaming on the Intel's 3000. The cheap and good product would be Samsung's B2230 @7k.

^^ your suggested motherboard is an AMD AM3 motherboard designed for AMD Athlon II and Phenom II processors, not for Intel processors. You can't fit an Intel CPU in a AMD motherboard.
