gaming problems

Right off the assembly line
i have an intel i3 3.1ghz processor, 4 gb ggr3 ram , 1 gb ddr5 radeon graphics and a coolermaster 500watt power supply

this coolermaster was bought recently since some of my friends had suggested that the gaming problems i was facing was due to power supply problems. the previous power supply was a 220watt supply.

the problem was that specific games caused my computer to restart after about 10-15 mins into gameplay, while a lot others worked just fine.
my computer does meet the requirements of the "problem games"...
here's the list

games that worked fine:
battlefield 3
nfs the run
saints row 3
cod mw 3
deux ex human revltn
assassin's creed revelations
darksiders 2
rage
crysis 2
witcher 2
cod black ops 1
battlefield 2
gta 4
arkham city

games which causes restart:

wolverine
crysis warhead
max payne 3
nfs mw 2
skyrim
just cause 2
binary domain
arkham asylum

after certain restarts....i get this message..

Give details of specific hardware, 1gb radeon means nothing. And which driver version are you using? Try updating to the latest one.

Have you tried updating the GPU Drivers, also does the same game works on other PC. I mean copy the setup file from your PC and then install the game on some other PC with that copied setup. Maybe some setup files are corrupted or something but are not giving errors while installation.

i know its not great, but its supposed to suffice for the above mentioned games...

upgrading drivers doesnt solve the problem, and these games work fine in other PCs..

if my pc can rum BF3 in medium settings, its should be able to run atleast JC2...:(
