1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mainly for Gaming and using IDE's like Visual Studio/Android Studio etc.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 150K can extend 5K more

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes both CPU and GPU

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I have a 500Gig hard drive from my old PC, just need a 250GB ssd for now, will add more storage later

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, LG 27UD68 4K Monitor

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Never built but I am thinking of building this one myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Hyderabad. Not willing to buy online as exchange will be a hassle if any components are faulty or fail later on.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Following is the config I am thinking of with approximate prices:

R5 1600 - 16k
B350 MB - 8.5k
16GB 3200Mhz RAM - 10K
PSU - 7K (Please suggest a Corsair one also)
Case - 5k
250Gig SSD - 7k
LG 27UD68 - 35k
GTX 1080 TI - 60k

I have checked with a local dealer and prices are going to go up post GST (LG 27UD68 will be 39K), but I want to finalize all the components first and see how it goes after the prices go up but I really want to accommodate a 1080TI and the 4K monitor in my budget.

I was able to get a few components today without GST prices except the RAM, PSU and GPU, they will be available next week because of GST implementation. Can someone please suggest a PSU other than Seasonic and where I can buy it online, I will OC both CPU and GPU.

Seasonic is the best PSU brand(M12II 620w) in terms of price to performance ratio. You can go with Seasonic 750w Platinum range PSU's also but they are a bit costly. The one I suggested is fully modular PSU. Corsair is a wee bit costly compared with Seasonic.

You know any store locally in Hyderabad or any website where I can buy this PSU?

Hi guys,

So I was able to get all the components and the total cost went way over my original budget but I did change/add a few items. I got the following components:

Without GST:
AMD R7 1700: 24800
Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3: 8750
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD: 7450
LG 27UD68P 4K IPS Monitor: 34800
APC 1100VA UPS: 5900
CM 590 III Case: 4600
HP Keyboard/Mouse Combo: 600

With GST:
Seasonic 750W EVO Modular PSU: 10400 (Purchased from overclockerszone.com via Amazon)
G.Skill Trident Z 8GBx2 3200MHZ Non RGB Ram: 12500 (Purchased from overclockerszone.com via Amazon)
MSI GTX 1080TI Gaming X: 65500

Total: ~175500

I built the PC myself and building it for the first time, fortunately everything went well and the PC booted up on my first try. So far I have run DS3 on 4k with both CPU and GPU at stock and getting constant 60FPS. CPU usage hovers between 15-20% and GPU usage at 100% with max temperature of 72C. GPU boost is pushing the card up to 2000Mhz and it constantly stays above 1950MHZ on 100% load. Let me know if you guys want me to test anything.

Thank you guys!

@gta5 what exactly you want me to post on that thread? Once I had power-cut during usage and I used the PC for good 15 minutes (playing DS3) before I shut it down and had no issues...only thing is the UPS has a small fan which gets pretty loud...

@krish_techie except the RAM and PSU, rest all items I purchased from Arun Computer at CTC Secunderabad...good store and I also previously purchased from them...if you are looking to buy then better contact them soon before they start selling all items with GST prices...
