1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mainly for Gaming and using IDE's like Visual Studio/Android Studio etc.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 150K can extend 5K more
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes both CPU and GPU
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I have a 500Gig hard drive from my old PC, just need a 250GB ssd for now, will add more storage later
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, LG 27UD68 4K Monitor
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This week
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Never built but I am thinking of building this one myself.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Hyderabad. Not willing to buy online as exchange will be a hassle if any components are faulty or fail later on.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Following is the config I am thinking of with approximate prices:
R5 1600 - 16k
B350 MB - 8.5k
16GB 3200Mhz RAM - 10K
PSU - 7K (Please suggest a Corsair one also)
Case - 5k
250Gig SSD - 7k
LG 27UD68 - 35k
GTX 1080 TI - 60k
I have checked with a local dealer and prices are going to go up post GST (LG 27UD68 will be 39K), but I want to finalize all the components first and see how it goes after the prices go up but I really want to accommodate a 1080TI and the 4K monitor in my budget.
