Gaming build ~60K

adid

Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming, should run all recent titles like GTA V, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield 4/Hardline, Far Cry 4 at 1080p maxed out.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 60k, could probably stretch it by 5-6k.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes, as soon as I lay my hands on the hardware.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 10

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2TB or boot SSD is optional, already have a 1TB HDD so extra drive space can be sacrificed for better components.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Not planning on buying a new monitor, already have 21' 1080p monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: OS, Monitor, HDD, Keyboard+Mouse, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Cooler, I have a 400W power supply which I don't think will be enough (Could be if I use Nvidia cards)

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next 2-3 months, could wait for prices to drop if there are chances

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I have built desktops before.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mumbai, I am open to shopping online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:
Here is my draft build, hoping to get parts cheaper at Lamington Rd.:
i5-4690k ~17.5k
MSI Z97 PC Mate ~8K
2x 4GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 1866Mhz ~3.4K
Non-reference R9 290x ~29K
NZXT S340 ~5K
Total: 63K

A power supply could add in 3k more...

I could wait for Skylake (currently @19k) and z170 motherboards to get cheaper. Also, I have not considered the GTX 970 because of the 3.5GB VRAM (Seems less future proof)

Any inputs?

I know the budget is off by 5K to your max budget but this a overclocking Intel 6th Gen Skylake build with DDR4 memory.

Should we not start suggesting Skylake CPU's, DDR4 is expensive but prices have come down drastically. 1150 is now the last generation.
G-skill 8 GB kit @ 5600/-
Also a heads up mdconputers.in is giving out a Antec VP650 watt PSU free with INNO3D GFX970 ( only August it seems). Other members can help more on the INNO3D brand.
