Galaxy s4 horribly lagging

Its almost a year and i have never dropped the phone but for the past 2-3 months its lag is increasing especially using Chrome, Facebook.
My phone is rooted with kitkat and the usual junk is been cleared using clean master. Free space is 1gb. The game and all runs fine.
I think this the case with most Android phones.

not with me. i have hibernated all users app and some system apps which i don't want to keep running in the background. have removed all user apps from startup except greenify and gravity box. switched over to Boat Browser. free space is around 2 GB out of 26 gb user accessible. around 15 gb of 10 bit 720p anime and rest games/apps, music, photos, ROMs in that. IMO try CM11 or PA or MIUI rom once in case you are on stock touchwiz.

It was working well with the same touchwiz and same usage. And personally i am used to the touchwiz.

I am not having time for installing roms so can you tell me some other solution like the hibernate thing. Also i want make default dialer open faster.

Use greenify...If that doesn't works do a factory reset...If that doesn't work instal CM

A problem which i had posted before. My chrome search bar shows history even if it is deleted when i restart the browser.for this I have to clear app data in which my bookmarks are also deleted.

I think you need to disable web history.

Ditch Chrome bloat and use Naked Browser. Ditch Facebook Bloat and use a browser to access it.

yep plus touchwiz is bad on the system
switch to trebuchet or nova launcher if it doesnt help, install cyanogenmod

Thanks for the greenify and gravity app. But how to reset the tweaks done by gravity app. My lockscreen clock is not changing.
Also can you tell which system apps are safe to greenify? Should i greenify them all?

I am very used to touchwiz and find it neat compared to lauchers. Also rearranging the apps would be tedious. If nothing works out then i would go with launchers.

^touchwiz isn't restricted to launcher only. the entire bloated samsung rom is called touchwiz.

to reset to the default status, user can simply flash Xposed framework disabler zip file via a custom recovery or just uninstall the Gravity box app and reboot the device

greenifying systems apps ins't recommended unless you know which services are required and which aren't by the phone.

The culprit!! Uninstall that **** and let android do it!
Use stock android based launcher - Holo launcher is one of the lightest one I've used. Trebuchet comes second.

Keep ~3Gb free atleast.

I think this the case with most Android phones.

Give me list of all installed app. I'll give checklist of "apps to be uninstalled"

^^ hes right while greenify and another launcher can boost speed itll only be temporary unless you change the rom

I suggest you move to cyanogenmod. It'll make an amazing amount of difference. Even my galaxy s3 had become a pain to use. I'd been taalofying putting in cyanogenmod but then finally took the plunge a month back. It is amazing

^^yep plus there are launchers and roms based off cyanogenmod with a faster and better "touchwiz"
