buying it today..which onbaord soln is better ?

AMD 690G is not available...

C2D 4300 + DG965RY

or

AMD 4400 + ASUS M2N-PVM

which one should i buy ?

If I have to buy one of those I will pick the first C2D config. (I am a intel fan).
And I found the performance of C2D far better.
In my suggestion pick the first 1.

Me too be a Intel fan would definately go with the first.
As said already by @quizmaster the performance of C2D is far better than AMD.

amd 690g is a better onboard solution & amd athlon 440+ performs better than 4300..so go for amd.it is also better value for money

If u want to make a future proof system then go for C2D. The price will be adjusted with the time spent with it, without thinking for the next upgrade.

C2D will be a better buy if u oc ur proccy and to do that u'll hav to get a diff mobo.i'll suggest P5B-VM.
if u dont wanna oc then go for AMD.
