is using Frostwire safe?

i have heard about malware infections with p2p programs...

ps: i only use microsoft secutiy essentials and malwarebytes

chances of infection are certainly higher with p2p programs compared to torrents where good ones usually have a lot of comments about quality.however if you still want to use it my advice is at least install avast(updated to latest definitions) & maybe a good firewall like comodo.

I am using FrostWire , its quite heavy on resources.
Didn't came across any malware or Virus infections yet. However , as said above , illegal files contain malware and virus/troajn risk with them.So be prepared for them if you intend to do so , whichis not good IMO.

Its as safe as a bomb inside a cardboard box labelled "CANDY".

Or a box full of candy labelled as "BOMB".
