Free XML Editor Required

Back to school!!
This thread is about a software, but since its related exclusively to programming I think this thread belongs here.

So, I had been recently working on Mule as well as XML Processing using Java, we use plenty of XSLT to transform xmls, so I need access to a fast and powerful free xml editor. In work we use this: XMLSpy XML Editor

So anyone have any idea about free editors? Is there a plugin available in eclipse marketplace? I need to create plenty of xslt, xsd and xmls. Standalone tools are preferred, but plugins etc will do.

I think Notepad++ can do the job with some additional plugins
Not even close to a full fledged editor, there is a plugin, but its pretty cumbersome and outright useless, even eclipse with wtp is better than np++
