Hi friends,

I am Andrew. I am getting a lot of emails about free messaging Apps like Viber and way2sms. Are these Apps genuine? And is it true that they will give you free messaging service or is it just a spam?

I have heard of Viber and it is a very popular app which provides VOIP if both devices haveit installed and is also an IM. On the other hand, I have not heard of way2sms though.

way2sms and 160by2.com are two sms sending web services that I used to use a lot during couple of years ago. The way they work is that you can send unlimited sms using their website and some characters of the message could be used for their advertisements.
Using these two websites you can actually send "SMS". But apps like Viber can only send messages over Internet and that is *not* SMS.

Yeah way2sms is nice, but from any such site SMS won't be delivered to numbers having DND on

I use way2sms, it's good for sending sms to non dnd numbers

Yeah, but these services are not reliable, when I was a student and had far less money I used to use Way2SMS extensively, but one message got delivered to my friend, the next one did not. It's normal though, the service is free, I don't expect any stability there anyway.

And I receive messages from my friends via Way2SMS often, and of course I have DND enabled!
