Hi Techies,

I need the price for Intel Pentium-IV Prescott 3.4 GHz & Intel 925x Motherboard.

Also what is the price of 512MB DDR-II @ 533 MHz.

Is XFX Geforce PCX 5300 a good one for a casual gamer and for 3D rendering using 3D Studio MAX ?. What is the price.

Also what is the price of the 19" Dual Tone color Samsung Monitor.

Now I need your words,

The following is my new configuration with price. Please justify the configuration for a casual gamer and normal 3D Rendering. Depending upon your words, I will decide whether to buy this config or not.
This is the price quoted by the Local PC wala,

Intel Pentium-IV 3.4 GHz @ 800 MHZ FSB with LGA 775 - Rs. 16,000/-

Asus i925x based motherboard - Rs. 17,550/-

512MB DDR-II @ 400 MHz - Rs.3,750/-

Segate 120 GB SATA - Rs. 4,600 /-

Samsung 16x DVD-ROM (Black) - Rs. 1,850/-

Samsung 52x CD-Writer (Black) - Rs. 1,690/-

Microsoft Deskset Pro - Rs. 5,450/-

XFX Geforce PCX 5300 128 MB DDR - Rs. 6000/-

19" LG Flat Black Monitor - Rs. 12,000/-

Antec 1080 Rs. 8500/-

Is the price rated correctly for the components.
Please give me the suggestions for choosing the Cabinet.
Should I settle for Geforce PCX 5300 based or shall I goto Geforce PCX 5750.
Should I settle for 925x - Rs. 17,500/- or 915G - Rs. 7,300/- .
Should I settle for DDR-II 400 MHz or shall I goto 533 MHz
Please provide both Positive & Negative feedbacks.
Thanks in advance

i confirmed it it is intel D925XCV it has raid 7 channel audio firewire..four sata channels 8 usb ports..The chipset supports Intel's wireless connect, which will WiFi enable it, but for that you need to put in a separate Intel PRO/Wireless 2225GB wireless network cards.
the cost is 8500..i think..it's better buy than asus though asus may have one or two features more....

This is impossible DD2 for Rs 3750, even in the US, it costs a lot, 512 MB DDR2 costs about 578 in Newegg

915GAG from intel original, which I prefer before anything else is available in Lukcnow for Rs 7,900

Stay away from PCX 5300, stick with GMA 900 till U have enough money to buy a 6600 or PCX 5950

Previously, Intel's motherboard were made in Asus, factories, now they are being made at Gigabyte Factory, so Intel's design & BIOS, but made at Gigabyte

925X is overkill, get 915GAG, & look forward for my new guide for PC configuration with new technologies in a few days

Hehe i fully agree with demon on the AMD 64. However if u are still keen on getting a LGA775 proccy then those prices are on the higher side. Also 915 shud be good enuf. The PCX 5300 is basically a 5200 PCI bridge version. So the performance is well crap ! Seriously for the amt of money that u will be spending on ur PC this config isnt worth it if u r are performance junkie! Theres no DDR 2 @ 400, thats probably the DDR module price, that too a hynix one if i m not mistaken. And oh btw 925s dont support DDR1 only DDR2, and the only DDR2 modules available here are corsair, kingston, kingmax and maybe Hynix ans these are damn costly !
