I recnetly plugged my flash drive into a linux OS and due to some system unstability the pc got hang so i clicked on unmount and when the icon disappeared i plug it out of the pc though i was sceptical about it as clicking on unmount on the first attempt did bring the usb icon back like after a minute but i plugged it out anyways on the second attempt thinking all was fine. Also this happened while i and my friend were exchanging some mp3 files, both our usb drives were plugged in.
Now what happend is that whenever i plugged the drive into my windows OS it does open but i can't add a new file nor format it nor do anything with it. I tried unmounting it through the command prompt but no good. So is there anyway i still can get around this problem. Well i did have a thought about getting it replaced but will be glad if anyone here has a solution.
