Which other phone comes with CM12 and 2 GB ram for 7k?
I know its rebranded but still worth considering because of CM12.

I am not looking for the latest software. I would prefer a 4.3 or 4.7inch and compromise on ram or other aspects. Primary use of the phone will be photos, calls and basic game apps like candycrush.

Asus Zenfone 4 or Lumia 435 should do good then. You'll have to compromise on the camera though.

Lumia 640 - Windows OS is simple to use, and with the arrival of Win 10, it's a VFM .

Lumia 640 is the best for your requirements
no point buying "iffy" products for a parent
get something stable and proven (tried and tested that is)
plus windows UI is easier for older people and simple to operate

Canvas Spark should be sufficient for her

Not
MMX has a poor repuation with good reason
not worth it at all

Yuphoria is bad option for parents. Its rebranded Coolpad

agreed
plus CM has loads of bugs on even official devices
its ok for us youngsters but not for a parent
we youngsters know workarounds , parents may not

Redmi 2 has best camera under 7k

Micromax phones are reliable & have good build quality (3 years ago, it was crap)

Anyways Redmi 2 is better

^^ Lol no
Just see the forums for proof why you are wrong about MMX
only Yu is OK enough but still kinda poor quality, but the rest of its pros makes up for that
as for camera
Redmi <<<< Lumia 640

Lumia 640 may have better white balance but lacks details compared to Redmi 2

Anyways both are good & it just comes down to OS choice.

I would personally never suggest my parents to get WP because i can't troubleshoot that or tell location of a particular setting over phone or whatsapp..... And android is better

what are you talking about?check the area in the middle(colour bar) & look at the logo/small box beside C M Y K.from same distance lumia captures most detail(you can actually guess/make out letters without straining your eyes compared to redmi).

^^ Exactly !!
I myself am unable to buy a new phone because I dont see phones whose cameras are better than my 720s overall
though Mi4 did impress me quite a bit
same with OP2 but not enough to make me switch

Im gonna wait for the next Lumia line up

Also Android isnt an OS for older people at all
maybe MIUI and Touchwiz to an extent

don't ever buy a xiaomi products ...specially foe elder people , they will get frustated over and over again with their service . so please save this kind of headache for them. my redmi 2 is taken for about 1/2 a month but still no return. better get them a motorola or lenovo.
