External harddisk problem-the generic volume cannot be stopped bcoz a program.....

hi i have a external hdd. it is a hdd with casing.
when i try to disconnect(Safely Remove Hardware option) the hdd it gives the message
"The device 'Generic Volume' cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it.".
how can i get rid off this.

also i went to the task manager but i cud not identify the process related to this.i want to know which process is related to external hdd so that i can end it. if there is another way please tell me.

use unlocker--it occurs due to video files which cant show the thumbnail pictures--so u wd see same time of file being always unlocked by unlocker--or u may simply delete that file or keep it in rar format or changw the extension say to doc x--
do tell whether it works

Use unlocker. It is a bug in Explorer that doesn't release a resource.
