EXPLORER.EXE crashing in seconds

Guys my windows was running fine but suddenly my explorer crashed and when I try to open it crashes again in seconds (5 sec and max 10 sec )

It started when I was surfing on net and for some reason I closed my internet security .

even after restarts it remains

even starting in safe mode explorer gets crashed

I i think it is a virus but how do I scan it , I have also installed vista on it when I scaned that drive ........I could not find any virus .

I think virus is in memory but how do i get him

what to do ?

using xp sp2

trend micro internet security pro on both windows

Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > Copy and paste some of the recent errors

first : shutdown the windows firewall and try to surf ..

if it again

second : shutdown TREND MICRO and surf.


alternate: reinstall the OS
