experiencing some firefox problems;pl help

hi,
i use firefox but recently i accidently uninstalled it due to which some problems hv arised.
i reinstalled it but all the htm and html files started to open with "MICROSOFT OFFICE XP COMPONENT". I tried changing it back to firefox but the option never comes in the open with menu even on browsing.
Pl help.
firefox is currently the default browser

control panel > folder options > file types .... browse to the desired file type .... then change the default viewer ...
